Sponsorship Opportunities!!

Planning is already underway for the 124th annual Croswell Fair. Preparing for the weeklong tradition begins immediately following the end of the fair. Fair Board members will spend countless hours meeting, planning and working on the next year’s events. The members of the board are committed to promoting the agricultural community, family fun, and entertainment for several generations of families. We are asking area businesses and organizations to partner in that commitment with us.We are now moving into our 5th year of the sponsorship program that partners area businesses, individuals, and organizations with the Fair Board to provide quality family programming.
We would like to start out by thanking participants of the program during the first 4 years. Your support allowed us to provide entertainment such as Whispering Pines Animal Kingdom and Carla Wallenda who were set up for the entire fair week for all visitors to enjoy at no additional cost to them. We were also able to provide 2 “kids’ days” where unlimited ride wristbands were at reduced prices for 5 hours during those 2 days of the week and there was a bicycle giveaway on Saturday. We also handed out over 200 free tickets to Thunder Falls Water Park in Mackinaw City.
This year we will be looking into additional entertainment during the annual Michigan Association of Fairs and Exhibitors convention that is held the 2nd week of January.We have also been working with our carnival, Schmidt Amusements of Standish, MI, and are looking to provide a good, quality carnival at a fair price to our visitors. We will be having at least 2 “kids’ days” again this year where un-limited ride wristbands are reduced in priced. We are also looking at other specials to help make the carnival affordable for every family to visit. We also would like to continue to add to the entertainment provided at the “Community Tent” located next to the fair office and hope the Family Gospel Sing that was revived last year on the Sunday before the fair will continue to grow. Of course we will still have harness racing, featuring the Charles Coon Memorial Futurity, one of the richest futurities in the State. We will have the fast paced Figure-8 races and the ever popular Demolition Derby. Saturday is packed with tractor pulls with Mini-Tractor Pulls, then Farm and Street Truck Pulls and the loud and fast Modified Tractors and Trucks. These are only a few examples of how your sponsorship participation helps to provide a means of re-visiting fond summer memories and creating new memories for thousands of people from our community and beyond.We have created three different levels of sponsorship for your review. These sponsorships can be designated towards a specific event of your choice, or as a general fair events sponsorship.
Although each contribution level offers slightly different returns, we would hope that at any level, the greatest return is knowing that you are supporting a community and family tradition. Please take a few moments out of your busy schedule to review the enclosed opportunities. The sponsorships listed are pre-packaged, and we are willing to participate at any level of partnership. Our advertising deadlines are coming soon and to be able to list our sponsors in printed media we would like to have sponsorship agreements by March 22, 2008. This will enable the fair board to include sponsors in any applicable printed advertisements.The fair week is fast approaching; June 9 is just around the corner! This year the carnival starts on June 10, the 2nd to the last day of school. We are hoping that the dates will help to kick off everyone’s summer in a family fun fashion! We also have sponsorship opportunities for our Bike Give-Away! This was an outstanding event last year and thanks to donors, we were able to give away 12 new bicycles at the fair! The bicycles are on display for the entire week of the fair with signs showing each bicycle sponsor. They are given away on Saturday during a free drawing where all children that purchase ride passes for Saturday will be entered in. This is a great way to show your business supports the fair and to make a child very happy!
